Looking for a Chevrolet EV charger? Chevrolet cars that come to Israel (mostly as personal imports from the US) charge via a Type 1 (J1772) inlet – a round inlet with 5 pins. A regular Type 2 charger won't connect to them, so you need a charger with a Type 1 connector – like our Type 1 portable charger with an Israeli plug. Compatible with the Chevrolet Bolt (Bolt EV / EUV) and Chevrolet Volt.
Home charging by Chevrolet model
| Model | Connector | Max AC charging |
|---|---|---|
| Bolt EV / EUV | Type 1 (J1772) | Up to ~7.2–11.5 kW (single-phase) |
| Volt | Type 1 (J1772) | Up to ~3.6–7.2 kW (single-phase) |
Figures are estimates and may vary by version and model year. Not sure? Send us your model and year on WhatsApp and we'll check.
Which charging solution is right for your Chevrolet?
- Everyday charging at home – at your regular parking spot you need a charging station or a dedicated industrial socket installed by a licensed electrician. Leave your details and we'll help you find a solution for a car with Type 1.
- Car with a Type 1 inlet – 3.5kW Type 1 portable charger with an Israeli plug, for occasional and on-the-go charging (from a household socket, up to 10A).
Under the Israeli Electricity Authority guidelines: never connect a charger through an extension cord, splitter or adapter – neither at the socket nor between the cable and the car.
Chevrolet charging FAQ
❓ How do I know if my Chevrolet has Type 1 or Type 2?
Open the charging flap: 5 pins in a round inlet = Type 1, and 7 pins with a flat top edge = Type 2. You can also send us a photo of the inlet on WhatsApp.
❓ Can I charge the Chevrolet from a regular household socket?
For occasional charging – yes. Under the Israeli Electricity Authority guidelines, a portable charger with a household plug is permitted for occasional charging away from your regular parking spot, at up to 10A, from a sound, grounded socket and without an extension cord, splitter or adapter. For everyday charging at your regular parking spot you need a charging station or a dedicated industrial socket installed by a licensed electrician.
